'Tis the Season, really?!

It seems that every year goes by just a little bit faster. It's hard to believe that the Holidays are already upon us. Unfortunately, the warm weather in the Northeast and a busy schedule has left me in an October state of mind. Right now, I will realize that I can't slow down time and it is, in fact, going to be December no matter what I do, so I will accept the smile from a stranger, a warm cup of hot chocolate by my imaginary fireplace and enjoy this wonderful Holiday season.

Rescued

I've been on the hunt for affordable ways to decorate the barren walls of my apartment. I found a great frame at an antique store in upstate New York that I really liked. The picture inside wasn't really my style and I had to pop up the color. It definitely was in need of some TLC.

All it took was a little paint.

A mirror cut to size.

And Voila!

Beautiful Day in Brooklyn

There are those days that you wish could last forever. The stars align and everything falls into place. Last Sunday was one of those days. We went to the Brooklyn Flea and enjoyed delicious food and good company.

Yumm...lobster bisque!

Fresh prosciutto sandwiches with ricotta and arugula. I want more!!

I'm sure someone took home this great elephant. I don't think he would fit in my city apartment!

Fun colors!

Toy soldiers guarding the gate. I couldn't figure out if they were for sale or not?!
